I get to have a procedure done (2 years waiting, pretty much SIGH THANKS DOCTOR) where I finally get my abscess removed.
It's above my butt.
They freeze my butt.
Then they slice into the area around my tailbone and get rid of that shit.
FUN!
thank goodness for two days off of work prior to knowing that I needed the surgery done.
What are they doing, getting rid of a mole?
nah, i developed an abscess 2 years ago--finally got rid of it after it started bleeding.
got stitches now, get to sit in bleach for a number of days for 5 minutes each time. :/
Wow, that is incredibly disgusting and I regret reading it.
But hey, best of luck to you, with recovery and all that.
On a side note, do you ever miss being a mod? Are you content with being a normal, albeit famous user?

my surgeon took a major chance on whether or not to stitch the sucker up, or leave it to heal and pack it.
it was getting pretty bad, as in it would start bleeding randomly, which my surgeon's never seen before, so woo woo.

I had a cystic tunnel removed from the same region myself back in 2005. What sucks is that stuff can come back depending on the person, unfortunately. I think I have to have mine removed again. :/
