So it's week two of my welding course. We've moved from doing dinky projects with grinders, hacksaws, and drill presses and moved onto the fun shit.
Fun shit being oxyfuel/oxy-acetylene cutting.
You know what that means?
FIRE! :3 And molten steel.
Much fun. :D No asploding, so I'm still awake and burn-free so far. Got black boogers though due to the smoke that comes off the burning acetylene.
And I'm doing awesome cuts without a lot of excess slag (molten metal) sticking to the bottom of the plate. I'M THAT COOL. :3
eta: I cut out that heart today BY MYSELF AND SHIT AND FIRE AND OOOOOOH PURTY!
